Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification

The Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) was formed in 1972 to as a non-profit organization to set and support high standards within the inspection, cleaning and restoration industry. IICRC acts as a main agent in the exchange of information between all segments of the cleaning, inspection and restoration industries and works with all segments of these industries in order to improve quality and service to the customer. IICRC also disseminates information to uphold industry-wide dynamics and rational recommendations for the security of the consumer, industry workers and the environment. IICRC certification is based on achieving a successful completion of grades on standardized exams. Once certification is earned, registrants are required to receive continuing education credits to keep their certification. At this time the IICRC has more than 5,400 certified firms.
